I am grateful

We wake up, do our daily chores, go to bed and repeat . We don’t notice . We don’t realize….

While we complain about the weather condition, there is someone out there wishing for a home. As we complain about the taste of our food, there is someone who is starving to death. While we complain about the efficiency of our car, there is someone with a million wishes to travel but no way to do so. While we complain about work load, there is someone who toils under the sun to make a living. While we complain about how we look, there is someone who wishes for a pair of slippers. Some people will never get what you have now .Some people won’t ever get to improve their conditions . Some people won’t be able to read this. But you do and so do I. Inevitably, I am grateful, for a home, my parents, for food, for education, for my conditions, for clean water and 24 hour electricity, for my blog, for all of you, and for every unearned thing. I am grateful. All of this can sound primitive or useless to you. But there are people who lose their parents to war, who lose their lives to easily preventable diseases and people who lose their homes to disasters.Let us be grateful, let us pray for the underprivileged. Let us just give thanks. 🙂

In the beginning I was afraid of this, afraid of being alone.

I thought I was better in company, with people flesh and bone.

But when they killed me inside out and shattered my heart with blows,

I couldn’t stand all of it , there was a numb in my toes.

As my warm breath repeatedly clouds the broken glass,

I now am not afraid of shadows, after a herculean pass,

Now, when I hear nothing but the ticking of the clock,

I am alone and not in a conscious flock,

I still hold on to a shred of hope,

My foes with hate have got me doped.

Now in a room of silence, I last.

With no one to interfere and my pulse not fast.

Because in loneliness, I’ve found a lasting cure.

of the swelling of my eyes, of the broken heart which was always pure.

Now I am alone with a mind of thought,

With a company of backstabbers , I’ve already fought.

And now I want to find an escape all alone,

Trying to stop the shaking of my tone.

Too Far

I tried to be a perfect girl but I was only human.

Among the many dreamers I’d seen, I was only a new one.

I wanted to be someone, I wanted an appreciation or two.

I wanted to leave a mark, something great I wanted to do.

I tried to change myself, I tried to suppress the voice of my heart.

My heart was telling me to take it slow, that I was making a wrong start.

But I wanted to be known as someone who offered a dedicated piece of them.

My dedication was my dress, with hard work it would get a perfect hem.

In the midst of my effort and the sweat that dripped,

My heart spoke again and told me that I was hit.

It told me not to worry my little mind,

That I could do all I wanted but to myself I’d to be kind.

I listened to it this time and learnt ,

That pushing yourself too far will only get you burnt.

Help us out

Most of us wish for someone to share our burden, and lend us a helping hand , to help us face what life beholds each day.

But, alas! Everyone is alone in life’s battle. I am and so are you. There comes a time when you want someone to understand, to tell you that they know what you’ve been through and to make you realize that everything is going to be alright. But in such situations we just wait for something to happen. And as John Green says in “The Fault In Our Stars” , When times are tough, the Almighty puts the best people in your life…… Waiting…….Still waiting.

Its a strange thing about us humans that we don’t lose hope. Even when we think that we are miles away from salvation, we still hold on to shreds of hope . Many of you might disagree but I firmly believe that homo sapiens continuously hope. We hope for a brighter tomorrow, a better today, better conditions and people who understand our journey as much as their own. Still waiting, still hoping. Lets just hope.

P.s. But still, you are the hero of your own story .

It’s rare

A dream, a vision drags me on,

It tells me that I can survive till the dawn.

It tells me to keep trying again and again.

To work through the clear days as well as the rain.

It tells me to keep calm and work hard.

It tells me to try and play each card,

to see if I win with a satisfactory laugh,

Or else my crown is right away , knocked off.

A wish, a desire drags me through,

Tells me that a good plan I drew,

To keep me moving until I get there,

And the success I deserve, just very near.

A motto, a struggle drags me through each fear,

Tells me happiness is found through hard work, its rare.

It’s Enough

images (1)

You’ve said enough , now you are not here to be,

Because It’s my choice to do what I want from now till eternity.

I’ve heard enough from all who interfered,

I shouldn’t have listened when no one actually cared.

I won’t let you bring me down, to turn my ambitions to dust.

Because now I stand on my own, there is no one to trust .

I’ll show you that I can , Your discouragements will slowly rust.

I’ll go beyond my limits, for success I have plenty of lust

If you think you can stop me, your bubble I won’t bust

But when you’ll wake up from your fantasy,

you’ll realize my success was a must,

Because after long I’ve found myself, my potential now I trust.

My weaknesses will not ever be their power, neither their gain.

Even if the doubters will question me again.

~ Saadia

one of my older poems. 🙂

I waged a war against tarzan

Then suddenly I was in a garrison

I could fly and cast spells

And magic? I knew it very well!

I landed on Mars and took a nap on a cloud

I owned a dragon , was it real, I was in doubt

An eagle took me to school

I was invisible, so many I could fool.

In a second I was a kite , soaring high

After sometime, I watched the tide go by

I played hide and seek with the stars.

In a trice,  I was a celeb,  I won so many hearts.

Was this real?  I wondered.

I fell off my bed with a laugh

It was only a dream, I thought.

My dreams bewilder me a lot.
