Fear and Action

20190417_114148.jpgNever make a decision to do something so that you can ‘run away’ from yourself or your problems.

Mend what needs mending and move forward slowly.

Rushed escapist decisions only make you retrace your steps.

Hate Speech and Intolerance

20190331_120214.jpgLiving in a world where inclusion is withering by the day and hate crimes and intolerance have become the norm, it is important for us to remind ourselves of the importance and power of empathy and kindness.

While it may seem like tyrannical forces can crush empathy easily, the truth is that only the things planted in empathy survive at the end.

Your words can change the course of a person’s life, for the better or for worse. If you look without prejudice, you’ll only find yourself in everyone.

Weigh your words before you say them.

Ask yourself

“Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?”*

People

DMbokAoXkAIhQqw.jpgThere’s this girl, alive, mad and a masochist, all rolled into one. Her eyes are amber, brooding, and her scars, they run a bit too deep.

I’ve looked just enough to burn and frey at the seams
There’s another girl, pale skin, gold and cedar haired , with topaz eyes that remind me of summer sunrises. She is the living example of how an ideal person should balance life. But the other day I saw parallel cuts across her arm and wondered if anyone had it easy at all.
There’s this other girl, so different for everyone else, she is like the night sky when it is dipped in clouds, veins and tendrils of grey and ivory threating to overcome the sky; she is the moon that preserves beauty when at midnight the world looks like an unending slate of obsidian but she is also the thunder that cleaves the world apart. I wonder when she’ll learn of her own power.

Color me Grey

grey.jpg

The grey had found a home in the white, it consumed ruthlessly until it was dark and dull, like the sky had turned ashy. But it was beautiful, it was the color of death yet it felt like the beginning of all we never had, it was grey fog on our work of art but it was breathtaking.

Bronze, auburn and heather have their share of beauty but mauve is a breath of fresh air. The air tasted sharp the day grey took over, like droplets of water, the color of sea foam were dispensed somewhere inside. The air looked like the color of broken bones but it was stunning, like ivory had met stone.

Raven and ink have their share of hiding our scars but slate is the color of invincibility. The ground was soft the day grey took over, like its burden was already gone, like broken promises and unmet dreams had sailed away like dandelion seeds. The ground still looked shaken but it was bracing, like obsidian had met tangerine.

Poetry : A gallery

This is something so special for me. It took me such a long time to do all of this even-though it may not seem like it. I’d be the most content person if you’d share and spread this piece of art, crafted with love by me. Keep the pieces you like and please keep circulating this post. That would be my wreath. Thanks a lot for everything. 🙂yoman.jpg69e06ff0e9cf13ad15baaho39d8e293ecf.jpg

Find your Passion.

0cc6ea10e681316893b9357bf9okaycf121b.jpg

There are many of us who haven’t yet walked the path we were meant to, some of us still wake up like an accident , like we have nothing to do here, it may seem like you’re out of business in this world, like you ain’t got no aim or part to play. Don’t lose hope. Steve Jobs said that. He said, ‘Sometimes life is going to hit you in the face with a brick but don’t lose hope.’ You were meant to bring something authentic into the world that did not exist before. You’ve got to get up everyday and chase what you’ve always wanted, always dreamt of, the things you saw others having but never had, the things your haters said you’d never even be near. Foolish people praise themselves. People who are worth it are praised my others but the best people in the world are praised by their haters. So catch the risk factor in your life. Everything that matters requires risk. You’ll love working hard, believe me, knowing that it will pay off. Do the things you love, while getting out of the bubble that surrounds you. Stop waking up and wanting to sleep again. And after , you’ll find a fire in your soul which replaces sleep with passion. Do what you were meant to. Stop wasting your life. Dream. Act. Believe. Execute.
